Blessed Wherever You Go

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all His commands…you will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country"
(Deuteronomy 28:1-3, NIV)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Do you want to experience more of God's blessing in your life? Living in obedience and integrity is the key that unlocks the door to His abundance. When you put God and His Word first place in your life, the Bible says you'll be blessed in the city and in the country—you'll be blessed wherever you go!

This chapter in the Bible goes on to say that you will be so blessed that you will lend and not borrow. Can you see yourself in that position? Can you see yourself living in that kind of abundance?

See, God doesn't want you to be living with a barely-get-by attitude. We don't serve a barely-get-by God; our God is more than enough! He wants you to have more than enough to meet your needs and be a blessing to the people around you.

I encourage you today to make room in your life for the blessing of God. Choose to live in obedience to His Word. Choose to follow His commands. As you do, you will rise up higher and live the abundant life God has for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for Your hand of blessing on my life. I choose today to put You first in everything I do. Help me to walk in integrity and follow Your commands so that I can honor You always. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

The Ultimate Prosperity Promises

This article was on http://bibleprosperityscriptures.com/

Stay Blessed and Prosper!!

Psalms 23 is one of the most memorized and famous prosperity scriptures in the Bible. I first started reciting it when I was around 6 years old. At that time, I didn’t understand the profound truths and awesome revelation included in these verses.

Let’s take an in-depth look at these Bible scripture verses and see what Prosperity Promises they contain for each of us.

The Lord Is My Shepherd

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.”

First, Psalms 23 is written to those who are sheep of God. He is their shepherd.

The relationship between Shepherd and Sheep is very close. The Sheep are dependent on the Shepherd not only for protection, but also for direction. The Sheep will stay in the same location or place until the Shepherd moves them. They won’t wander. Even when the grass is all eaten, instead of moving, they will stay in the same place and starve before seeking new pastures.

What does that mean for us?

The Lord orders our steps. He determines where we are and we will remain there until he leads us to an new place.

Psalms 23
Green Pastures and Still Waters

Because we trust and obey, we shall not want. He has promised to supply all of our wants. (see Phillipians 4:19) The Lord even makes me (us) to “lay down in green pastures”.

No dried up place for God’s sheep.

Even when we are confused or puzzled or without understanding, God will take us to “Green Pastures” and make us to lay down. And we will go because we are his sheep and we hear his voice (John 10:27)

He also will lead us besides the “Still Waters”.

God wants us to find a peaceful place in him. A place where we can become restful, not restless. Yes sir, The Shepherd, wants us to be surrounded with Prosperity. With Plenty of Green Pastures and Still Waters.

A Restored Soul

“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake “

Our soul represents our mind, our feelings, our intellect. God’s people don’t think like unbelievers. Yep, we are a different lot. Remember, we must trust him for all our decisions. We must hear his voice and not follow another. God has restored our soul. He has changed our minds.

God will lead us in the path of righteousoness because he has a promise to keep. Promises he made to Abraham and all his heirs. By faith in Jesus, those promises are ours as well. And God keeps his promises. His name (reputation) is on the line. That why he can’t let his sheep fall.

We Will Fear No Evil

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.“

We will not be afraid, because he has promised to never leave or forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5)

Our Cup Runneth Over

“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”

Even in the midst of those who mean us harm, we can be comfortable and assured that God is with us.. God has promised us favor from the top of our head to the bottom of our feet.. The Blessings of the Lord will overflow.
A Believer’s Assurance of Prosperity

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”

We are confident that God’s promises of goodness and mercy will remain with us all the days of our lives. Therefore we know that we will dwell with him forever.

WOW, These are Great Prosperity Promises!

The Golden Rule in The Bible

Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 7:12)

1. THE CONTEXT OF THE RULE.

The word "therefore" draws us back to the words that preceded this verse. And as we look back, we see that Jesus has taught us about His Father's care for us through our prayers;

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" (Matthew 7:7-11).

Here, Jesus teaches us that our heavenly Father is very good to us. If we ask for something good, He will not give us something bad. We can trust Him. If we ask Him for something, and we get something different than what we asked for, it's because our Father is so good to us that He will not give us something that's bad for us . . . even if we were to ask for it. In the end, that's how we would WANT Him to treat us! And so, when Jesus says, "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them . . .", He's calling us to imitate the goodness that our Father shows to us.

But we can look back even further. Before that, Jesus says,

"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why to you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye" (Matthew 7:1-5).

Why would Jesus tell us to do that? It's because that's how we would want to be treated. We wouldn't want someone to be judgmental toward us, or to behave toward us in a hypocritical manner. We wouldn't want someone to use us as a means of making themselves look good. And so, we shouldn't treat others that way either. (you can find more on this on http://www.bethanybible.org/archive/2005/051505.htm)

I always try to put myself in other people's shoes....I'm always asking what if I was in this situation? I'm the most considerate and thoughtful person...but sometimes that can be taken advantage of....so no when to say NO ha! You also have to remember to help YOURSELF FIRST before you can help others!! That's another reason why we have to have a PROSPERITY MINDSET!! You have to want the best for yourself! You can't give if you have nothing to give! God wants us to be prosperous and abundant so that we will have ENOUGH to give to others that are in need!!

2 Corinthians 8:9 "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich."

Napoleon Hill's 17 Success Principles

I'm all about prospering and living abundantly. I have always known that I'm not the one to live an "ordinary" life meaning...I'm the one that believes I'm put here to live abundantly...beyond measure! I'm put here to live in perfect health, wealth, abundance and prosperity! I was born to do great things, to be a great person of influence, to be a person with the means to bless others in more ways imaginable, I was born to live the life of my dreams to help others do the same!!

There are many people in this world living the life of their DREAMS! They are no better or more deserving than you or me...WE ALL CAN LIVE THE LIFE OF OUR DREAMS!! It may take a few years to get there but it's not impossible. With GOD on your side....NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!!! You have to beleive that despite the obstacles, hardships, nay-sayers, or circumstances!! You have to give to receive.....so give your time, energy, love, tithes to God and he will come through on your behave more abundantly than you have already seen. I am seeking to do better in my life...in all areas of my life....complain less rejoice more!! Be grateful for what I have....give more of what I have, so that I can receive more of what I want!!

God is not mocked; whatsoever a man sows, that is what he will reap. Galations 6:7

Luke 6:38 "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

God is our ultimate source and unlimited supply....depend on him for all your needs and wants!!! Know that all wealth comes from God....he delights in our prosperity and want nothing but the best for his children! Believe it and receive it!! It is the truth!!

But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18
And my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phillipians 4:19

Okay...on to the purpose of the post...ha!

I heard of Napoleon Hill from his book Think and Grow Rich...(you can get a free copy of that e-book online everywhere) I have yet to finish the book but I'm always researching online about things relating to prosperity and abundance and how I can reprogram my mind to think like a prosperous person thinks, to keep my mind on God's promises for prosperity over my life, to see how those that ARE or WAS prosperous during their lifetime thought or lived or behaved.

IF you want to be a successful screenwriter then surround yourself WITH successful screenwriters, read about successful screenwriters take the steps that they took or learn from their mistakes...that goes for anything you want to do in life....

There's this affirmation that I say daily: <!--[endif]-->I imitate those who through faith & patience inherit what God has promised!

anyhoo...so Napoleon has 17 Success Principles that I want to share with you today. I found this article that gives a summary of the principles and what they mean! I found it an interesting read!

You can find the article on http://www.quintushegie.com/napoleon-hill-keys-to-success.php

I'm just going to list the principles here go to the site to read the full summary!!

Lesson 1: Definiteness of Purpose
Definiteness of purpose is the starting point of all achievement. Without a purpose and a plan, people drift aimlessly through life.
Lesson 2: Mastermind Alliance
The Mastermind principle consists of an alliance of two or more minds working in perfect harmony for the attainment of a common definite objective. Success does not come without the cooperation of others.
Lesson 3: Applied Faith
Faith is a state of mind through which your aims, desires, plans and purposes may be translated into their physical or financial equivalent.
Lesson 4: Going the Extra Mile
Going the extra mile is the action of rendering more and better service than that for which you are presently paid. When you go the extra mile, the Law of Compensation comes into play.
Lesson 5: Pleasing Personality
Personality is the sum total of one’s mental, spiritual and physical traits and habits that distinguish one from all others. It is the factor that determines whether one is liked or disliked by others.
Lesson 6: Personal Initiative
Personal initiative is the power that inspires the completion of that which one begins. It is the power that starts all action. No person is free until he learns to do his own thinking and gains the courage to act on his own.
Lesson 7: Positive Mental Attitude
Positive mental attitude is the right mental attitude in all circumstances. Success attracts more success while failure attracts more failure.
Lesson 8: Enthusiasm
Enthusiasm is faith in action. It is the intense emotion known as burning desire. It comes from within, although it radiates outwardly in the expression of one’s voice and countenance.
Lesson 9: Self-Discipline
Self-discipline begins with the mastery of thought. If you do not control your thoughts, you cannot control your needs. Self-discipline calls for a balancing of the emotions of your heart with the reasoning faculty of your head.
Lesson 10: Accurate Thinking
The power of thought is the most dangerous or the most beneficial power available to man, depending on how it is used.
Lesson 11: Controlled Attention
Controlled attention leads to mastery in any type of human endeavor, because it enables one to focus the powers of his mind upon the attainment of a definite objective and to keep it so directed at will.
Lesson 12: Teamwork
Teamwork is harmonious cooperation that is willing, voluntary and free. Whenever the spirit of teamwork is the dominating influence in business or industry, success is inevitable. Harmonious cooperation is a priceless asset that you can acquire in proportion to your giving.
Lesson 13: Adversity & Defeat
Individual success usually is in exact proportion of the scope of the defeat the individual has experienced and mastered. Many so-called failures represent only a temporary defeat that may prove to be a blessing in disguise.
Lesson 14: Creative Vision
Creative vision is developed by the free and fearless use of one’s imagination. It is not a miraculous quality with which one is gifted or is not gifted at birth.
Lesson 15: Health
Sound health begins with a sound health consciousness, just as financial success begins with a prosperity consciousness.
Lesson 16: Budgeting Time & Money
Time and money are precious resources, and few people striving for success ever believe they possess either one in excess.
Lesson 17: Habits
Developing and establishing positive habits leads to peace of mind, health and financial security. You are where you are because of your established habits and thoughts and deeds.

Hope this was helpful!!

The Bible declares “that men ought always to pray, and not to faint” (Luke 18:1). Therefore it is appropriate to continue to pray even when circumstances don’t appear to improve. It is important to learn how to pray the promises of God.
Below is a prosperity prayer to use when your basic needs are appear lacking.
Believing God To Supply My Needs
( A Prosperity Prayer)
Father, as I continue to walk in your word, I know that you wish for me to prosper and be in good health.
You have provided access to your throne of grace in my time of need and assured me that you will supply all of my needs according to your riches in glory.
I am not anxious, but thankful that you have heard my requests. Although I do not always understand, I feel your peace and remain confident.
Therefore, I do not consider my surroundings, but I consider and seek to know and understand your word, the Bible. I do not let my current situation concerning food, clothing, shelter or other basic necessities concern me. For you already know what I have need of and have blessed me already. I expect all these things to be added to my life because you have promised to be my provider.
Yes, all of your promises are assured and I say “Amen” to this truth and give you all the glory.
In Jesus name, I pray.
Many people have used this prayer to remind them of God’s promises. We encourage you to read it out loud so that it feeds your spirit. For a printable copy (pdf), click “A Prosperity Prayer: Believing God To Supply My Needs”
In our Christian walk, we have discovered that praying God’s word is the most effective because God honors his word. We have included the Bible verses that support this prayer of prosperity for your review.

One Blessing After Another!!

One Blessing after Another

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another"
(John 1:16, NIV).

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

God wants to pour out His blessing and favor upon you each and every day. It says in the Psalms that He daily loads us with benefits! So many people miss out on all that God has for them because they are weighted down by guilt and condemnation. But notice what today's verse tells us about where His blessings come from—the fullness of His grace.
God's grace is His unmerited favor. That means we can't earn it. We can't work for it, and we can't change His mind about it. He pours out His blessing on us not because of what we do, but because of who He is. His blessings are based on His goodness, not ours.
Today, receive His grace. Receive His forgiveness. Let go of guilt and condemnation. Open your heart and mind to what God wants to do in your life and get ready because He is pouring out His goodness upon you with one blessing after another!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, I choose to receive Your grace today which is Your supernatural empowerment. I release guilt and condemnation and receive Your love and forgiveness. Search my heart, O God. Renew me and cleanse me by Your Word. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

HEAVEN IS NOT IN A RECESSION!!!

Can you perceive it? BY LISA COMES

God wants to do something new and supernatural in your life. Did you know He wants to do something supernatural in your finances?

Isaiah 43:19 says, "Behold, I am doing a new thing! …Do you not perceive it and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." (AMP)

Can you perceive it? Are you making room for it in your mind, or have you already made up your mind not to expect anything new due to your present circumstances? God is interested in all your needs, desires, and even, your prosperity. In fact, Psalm 35:27 says that God delights in the prosperity of His people.

Right now, we are in somewhat of a recession and economic slump, but because we belong to God, we have supernatural provision. God is never in a financial slump. Heaven is not in a recession. In fact, heaven is full of blessings waiting to be bestowed upon you. God said that He will make a way in your desert. He will cause rivers of blessings to flow into your financial desert. That is supernatural provision.

. enlarge your faith and expect supernatural provision in your life

I encourage you to get a vision of that in your spirit and expect God to move like that in your finances. Begin to see blessings flowing into your life like a river that cannot be stopped! God said that He will open the windows of heaven and pour such blessing that you will not be able to contain it!

You may not see how in the natural, but God has countless of ways to supernaturally provide for you! He gave the Apostle Peter money for his taxes through a fish! God multiplied a widow's oil so much that she was able to live on the profit for the rest of her life. That's supernatural retirement!

God wants to do the same for you! He wants to supernaturally provide for you. The question is can you perceive it? It's not just my question; it's God's question, too!

"Can you not perceive it?" He asks us.

Part of perceiving is knowledge of what God says about you and your situation. You may have heard the saying, "What you don't know won't hurt you?" The truth is, what you don't know will hurt you! Hosea 4:6 says, "My people are destroyed for of lack of knowledge."

With the present economic times, you need to know everything God says to you about His plan to prosper you. It is imperative that we know what God says; then we believe it and take hold of it!

So it's time to start perceiving and letting His promises take root in your spirit because this is what God says about you!

Phil 4:19

"And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus."

Psalm 37:4

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."

Psalm 35:27

"May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, 'The Lord be exalted, who delights in the well-being of His servant.'"

Proverbs 13:22

"A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children, but a sinner's wealth is stored up for the righteous."

Remember, God delights in your prosperity! He wants to do something supernatural and new in your finances, even now! But it's up to each one of us to perceive it and know it. You do that with your faith! No one else can do that for you. Receive God's Word into your spirit by agreeing with God, and then you can expect God to move in your finances!

I encourage you to pray this with me, "God, I receive Your Word, and I agree with You. I expect supernatural blessings and favor for my family. I expect it, I look for it, I declare it in faith, and I receive it in faith, in Jesus Name, Amen."

WHY TITHE?

Why Tithe? by Rev. John W. Adams

Put God first, financially, and you will always have plenty!

A person who began tithing a few years ago soon saw his income start to grow. He no longer worried about money and he did not experience financial strain or undesirable surprises. Instead, since starting to tithe, his financial surprises were good ones. He said he was surprised at how much further his money went, and tithing seems to have a rubberizing effect in that it somehow causes money to stretch.

Giving a tenth of your whole income to God's good work helps to bring rich financial increase and protect you from negative experiences. Tithing makes a "divine connection" with the Source of all wealth. It is one of the surest ways to verify within your own consciousness that God is the Source of your supply, and to establish a link with that supply itself.

Another good thing about tithing is that it helps to eliminate those negative "financial surprises" no one needs, but lots of people have because they have not linked up with the Source of all-good through tithing.

The more you consciously and financially connect with the Source, the easier life becomes with the elimination of worry over financial matters. Because you know where your supply is-within you and everywhere present---you need not look far. It is always where you are, and you know it!

Tithing helps you open your mind to rich ideas. Many people have been exceedingly prospered through tithing. For example, LeTourneau was given the idea of the huge earth-moving machines after he began to tithe. This one idea made him a multi-millionaire.

Many exceptionally wealthy people attribute their financial success to tithing. But millions of other people, like you, have discovered that through tithing they live more abundantly and all their needs are met more easily, with plenty left over.

What is a Tithe?

A tithe is ten percent of your whole income before deductions, not 1% or 5%, but 10%. Some metaphysical teachers may tell you that it is okay to start with only 1% or 5% percent and build up to 10%. However, if you are serious about truly living prosperously, and you desire for the law of increase to work fully for you, then you will boldly give your full 10% at the beginning and continue doing so. ( I personally think that if you make the conscious effort to say "Lord I want to start tithing so I am going to give 1% of my gross income but as you bless me and increase my finances I will give 10% of my income faithfully to you"...I think that you will be blessed so that you can be a blessing and give your 10% faithfully.)

Divinely guided, make a decision to change your financial status and boldly carry out that plan. As Dr. Emmet Fox wrote in The Mental Equivalent, "Change your mind and keep it changed." In reference to tithing, decide to tithe and keep doing so!

If you want the Universe to give you full measure you must give in the same way. You cannot afford to fool around with less than the full 10%. You do not want only a portion of the riches the Source has for you, but the "whole enchilada" as the saying goes. Accepting your full share takes nothing away from anyone else, and absolutely does not-cannot-deplete the Source, one iota. So do your part and God never fails to do His.

It can seem difficult to start giving 10% back to God. I struggled with that until I realized that what I had been doing wasn't working. I then made what seemed like a bold decision, at the time, to tithe the full 10%; to really put the tithing law to the test. I was amazed at how it worked!

If you have been experiencing too much financial lack, and truly want to take a positive step toward eliminating that from your life, then take the plunge. Start giving 10% of your whole income back to God, the Source of your supply, to where you are learning the prospering Truth, and keep doing so. Success doesn't come by just starting, but in continuing, although many people experience prospering miracles right away when they start to tithe.

A tithe is not a gift nor is it charity. Neither is it a reward or payment for services. Do not use your tithe to pay bills or to help relatives and friends. When you want to help others financially, give them "seed money." (See the Seed Money article.) (LINK) Do not use your tithe for anything but to further God's work on Mother Earth.

Do not wait until you fully understand the Law of Increase. In faith, begin, and the Universe will respond to your faith.

Where should you Tithe?

Give your tithe to a church or spiritual organization, minister, or other person who is directly involved in God's work. It is best to give where you are receiving your spiritual food. Do not continue to give financially to any organization with which you are no longer involved.

Support those who are feeding you spiritually, especially those from whom you learn the dynamic laws, principles and activity that empower you to increase your prosperity as well as live more healthfully and peacefully. In other words, tithe to those who help you in your spiritual growth and unfoldment by feeding you spiritually.

It is okay for you to spread your tithe around, but it is best to make your tithe checks as large as possible because this helps to create a large feeling of richness within you.

What are the Results of Tithing?

One of the unexpected benefits of tithing is that it gives you divine protection, shielding you from many of the negative aspects of life. It gives you greater wisdom to use your money more wisely.

When you tithe, you may expect to receive ten to a hundredfold increase in your supply. I don't know why that it is. It just is! One of the reasons may be, by tithing, you establish a divine partnership with the Source in which God is your senior Partner, and His resources are infinite. This activity seems to have an accumulative and multiplying effect.

You simply cannot out-give God! Try your best, but it cannot be done, and you couldn't ask for a better "financial connection." God never fails. He never has and never will. If you are not already doing so, the most advantageous thing you can do is to tithe.

A businesswoman made an agreement with God when she opened a new store. She agreed to give back to God, 10% of all she received, right off the top. From the beginning, her new business prospered-far greater than she had thought possible.

A Chiropractor and his wife, when they started out quite a number of years ago, learned the value of tithing and made a covenant to give at least 10% of their earnings back to God. They did so faithfully although at first they were challenged in getting their practice going.

Once in a while, one of them would call and ask for prayers to help them meet financial demands. When they did, I would remind them that since they were tithers, there was nothing to worry about-God would provide. He always did and continues to bless them richly and abundantly today!

A person in Illinois wrote the following to me: "About a week after using the affirmation, "Tithing from my whole income, I am now prospered, and my life is happy and complete," my husband and I got to go on an all expenses paid vacation to California. We stayed three weeks and had a delightful time. We were both unemployed at the time and hadn't tithed for about two months when we decided to start again. (An Affirmation that I like is: God is the source of my supply, so I now put God first financially. The voluntary, faithful tithing of my income now operates the law of ever-increasing prosperity for me. Yes, I now tithe my way to peace, health, and plenty)

I sent my tithe and continued to affirm that God is truly the Source of our supply and would provide His own amazing channels for our prosperity. The day I sent the tithe, my husband heard of a good paying job and two days later he got it. I will soon be employed again, too, in work I love to do. We have learned our lesson and will always tithe. It works."

Another important result of tithing is better health. This happens often because it is the natural result of being freed from worrying over a lack of money. Money worries are a leading cause of ill health. They cause fear, frustration and resentment. When you tithe, you are empowered with new freedom and peace of mind that comes in no other way.

Another benefit of tithing is the joy and happiness that come through having a more intimate relationship with God, the Source. If you sincerely desire for God to prosper you in all your undertakings, then take God as your financial Partner. Put God first, financially, and you will always have plenty.

I do not belong to a church but I get most of my spiritual nourishment from watching Joel Osteen on TV..and lately its been on my heart to start tithing. So since I don't belong to a church home I was wondering who do I tithe to? I researched it and it says that you tithe to wherever or whoever you get your spiritual nourishment from....so for me I'll be sending my tithes to Joel Osteen.

They say to give 10% of your gross income every pay period and I plan to do that.....when I start my new job (thank you Lord for that). God delights in our prosperity and he wants to bless us beyond our imagination!! But we have to give back to him with a cheerful heart!! When you are in financial hardship....that's the perfect time to tithe!!! God will bless your finances!!! Even if you have to start with a small percentage of the money you have coming in....do that! Because I know when you get more you'll give more!! You can work your way up to the 10%.....its all about what's in your heart...God knows what's in your heart!!

Here's more on this from Lisa Comes!!

One time God spoke to my parents to give a $5,000 offering. They always tithed, but this was an offering over and above their tithe. And it was a lot of money! My brothers and sisters were young at this time. I remember Daddy gathered all of us around him and said, "Kids, God spoke to us to give this offering, and we are going to pray over it. I just want you to know that God is going to bless us in return." He wanted us to see how God works.

Well, a few weeks later, a lady from another state called my dad's office. She said she was going to fly her own private plane to Houston because she had something to give him. Daddy met her at the airport, and she hand delivered a check to him for $5,000. She told him that God spoke to her to give him that money. She got back on that plane and went home.

Scripture says, "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:38)

God wants to bless you and prosper you in your finances and in all areas of your life, but there is a spiritual principle that we must follow in obeying and giving that unleashes God's supernatural provision!
water flowing over hands

In Malachi 3:10, God says, "Bring the whole tithe to the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. 'Test me in this,' says the Lord Almighty, 'and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.'"

Tithing is the key to financial blessings. Oftentimes, we want to receive the latter part, the overflowing part! And God wants us to! But we have to be faithful and obedient with the first part, giving.

When we are obedient, we are backing up our faith with actions. After all, faith without works is dead, and it's our faith that pleases God.

When financial slumps come, that is not a time to quit tithing and giving. In fact, we have learned in our family that is a time to put more seed in the ground.

If you don't give the first 10% of your income to the Lord, the Bible says that you are robbing God and yourself because if you have no seed, you have no harvest. But when you sow your tithe to the Lord, you can expect a harvest in your finances.

If you have stopped tithing for any reason, then I encourage you to repent and obey God. God wants to bless us, but we must be obedient to Him.

God's Word is filled with scriptures on giving financially. I encourage you to study them for yourself!

Deuteronomy 14:22-23

"Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year. Eat the tithe of your grain, new wine and olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the presence of the LORD your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name, so that you may learn to revere the LORD your God always."

Proverbs 3:9–10

"Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine."

Malachi 3:10

"Bring the whole tithe to the storehouses, that there may be food in my house. 'Test me in this,' says the Lord Almighty, 'and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.'"

Matthew 23:23

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former."

2 Corinthians 8:14

"At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality."

2 Corinthians 9:6–8

"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

Hebrews 7:2

"Abraham gave him a tenth of everything…"

CLAIM YOUR INHERITANCE!!!!

Claim Your Inheritance by Lisa Comes

Did you know there are billions of dollars worth of unclaimed inheritances in the United States? You can search online and Google "unclaimed inheritances"; and you will find that there are unclaimed properties, assets and inheritances because the heirs can't be found. There are people who have received inheritances, and they don't even know it!

You have received an inheritance from Jesus that you need to claim! You have a will - His Will, His Word - that discloses and unveils your inheritance.

Do you know what your inheritance includes? I encourage you to know what His Will says and find out what belongs to you so you can take possession of it and claim it. After all, you can't claim what you don't know belongs to you!

God says in Galatians 3:9 that we are blessed along with Abraham. That means that every blessing He had, we can have!

In Genesis 12, God pronounced a seven-fold blessing over Abraham, and these seven things belong to you and me.

The first thing God said to Abraham was:

1. I will make you into a great nation.
Abraham was the first Hebrew person, and God birthed the nation of Israel through him. If you study all the Scriptures, you will find that God said to Abraham, "I will multiply you, increase you, and make you powerful!"
That's what God wants to do in your life. This is your legacy and your inheritance. God wants to increase you in every area. He wants to increase your finances. (See Genesis 15:5, 17:2, 18:8, 18:19, and Deut 26:5.)
God wants to make you great and multiply what you have just like He did for Abraham.

2. I will bless you.
The Amplified Bible says, "I will bless you with an abundant increase of favors." Abraham was blessed with abundance. In fact, Genesis 24:1 says that Abraham was blessed in every way. I love that!

What were his blessings?

-Abraham was very wealthy in livestock, silver and gold. He wasn't rich when God first called him, but he became rich because of the blessing of God upon his life. (Genesis 13:2, Deut. 8:18)

-He also had great favor. The people said to him, "You are a mighty prince among us." God can supernaturally elevate you to places of favor and influence. Psalm 75:6 says that promotion comes from God.

-Abraham's son was abundantly blessed. When Abraham died, he left everything to Isaac, but the Bible says that God blessed Isaac in his own right. In one year, he reaped 100-fold on his crops, and he became very wealthy. You can pass the blessings down, but God also has additional blessings for your children. He wants them to increase even more! (Genesis 25:5, 26:12-14)

-Abraham received material blessings that he didn't have to work for. Psalm 105:44 says, "Abraham fell heir to what others had toiled for." We've got to get a hold of this! The Bible says the wealth of the sinner is passed on to the just! (Proverbs 13:22)
God can bless you with things that you don't even have to work for. Deuteronomy 6:11 says that He will give you houses that you did not build, wells that you did not dig, and vineyards that you did not plant.

3. I will make your name great.
The Amplified Bible says in Genesis 12:2, "I will make your name famous and distinguished."
Everywhere Abraham went, people knew him. His reputation preceded him and followed him. He was a mighty prince. He was highly favored of God!
God will enlarge you and make your name great just as he did for Abraham.

4. You will be a blessing.
This is where the phrase "we are blessed to be a blessing" comes from. One of the main reasons God wants us to have more than enough is so we can bless and help others. God wants us to be generous. He wants us to be so blessed that we can give to those in need. He wants us to share our blessings.

5. I will bless those who bless you.
When people bless and help you, God will bless them. Your favor will rub off on them. Every person who touches your life in a positive way will receive a touch from God. That's how blessed we are.

6. I will curse those who curse you.
God is serious. He is not going to bless anyone who opposes you. He said, "I will be an enemy to your enemies and I will oppose those who oppose you. Deuteronomy 28:7 says, "The enemy that rises up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven."

God is going to stand with you when people talk against you or mistreat you. He said to David, "Don't touch my anointed. He belongs to Me!" Well, you belong to Him! (Exodus 23:22, 1 Chronicles 16:22)

7. All the people of the earth will be blessed through you.
Wherever you go, people will be blessed. When you show up, God shows up, blessings show up and favor shows up.

You might be thinking, "How can I bless people all over the world?" I'll tell you how in a major way. When you tithe your income to your local church, you are a part of sending the Gospel all over the world.

If you give to this ministry, you are literally touching millions by being a part of bringing our television program to people who have never heard the Gospel.

The Fruit of Our Words

I've been claiming God's Abundance over my life more consistently these days....speaking life into my situation. Making sure I keep my mind on his promises for my life and my future. Being mindful of what I declare with my words when I'm speaking of myself. Being focused on affirming all the good things my Father has promised me. Abundance is my birthright and I claim it NOW!

I now write in my journal daily my affirmations and my goals (in present tense) and I declare with faith and expectancy what I desire for my life! You should do the same!! :-)

Here's a message from Joel Osteen:

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"I create the fruit of the lips…" (Isaiah 57:19, KJV).<!--[endif]-->

TODAY'S WORD WITH JOEL & VICTORIA OSTEEN:

Did you know that your words are like seeds? They have creative power. In the future, we will eat the fruit of our words. That means our words are going to produce exactly what we're saying.

That's why it's so important to make positive declarations over our lives every single day. We should say things like "I am blessed. I am prosperous. I am healthy. I am talented. I am creative. I am wise." When we do this, we are standing in agreement with God's Word. We are sowing good seed. We are preparing our future for when we arrive.

Today, make sure you are sowing good seed with your words. Speak God's Word which is truth that will set you free. Let His Word fill your heart and mind and direct your mouth with what to say. Set yourself up for success in your future and pave the way for victory with your words today! <!--[endif]-->

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, thank You for Your Word which is truth that sets me free. Help me to guard my words and sow good seed into my future. I choose to hide Your Word in my heart. Keep me close to You and direct my steps. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

- Joel & Victoria Osteen
