I was reading the forum on the yahoo group The Hollywood Happy Hour they mentioned a website called Actor Cast. So I looked it up...here is information from their website: When you join ActorCast, you also get a “free membership” to Cast It Systems, where your profile and auditions will be searched and seen by the most influential casting directors, producers, and directors in the entertainment business. Cast It is the casting system used by all of the major casting directors, all of the feature and television studios and most independent productions to find the perfect professionals and up-and-comers for their roles, and while the Cast It database has always been maintained by the casting offices that use it, ActorCast is the only actor service that allows you to put yourself into the Cast It database.

T.W.I.Y.W (This Week In Yogi's World)

Hey Everyone....HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Not too much is going on this week....I am planning to take an Audition Technique Class in January. SO I met with the teacher Mary Boyer from MTB Studios yesterday. Wonderful personality....I found out about her from another actor. http://www.mtbstudio.com/

The class starts Jan. 11th and last for 8 weeks. I'm excited! I told my other friend about the class so hopefully there's still enough room for her to take it with me....that would be fun!! I haven't been in a class setting since May....so I'm ready to get back into the swing of things.

I also learned about an Audition Bootcamp DVD yesterday by LA Casting Director Marci Liroff. http://marciliroff.com/audition-bootcamp

This could possibly be an alternative or supplement to an Audition Technique Class. Classes can be expensive if you are on a tight budget which most actors probably are....so if you can't get into a class...I think reading a book or watching DVDs on the subject is beneficial until you can afford to take the class....

Not being able to afford to take a class should not be an excuse for not taking the initiative to learn your craft!!

T.W.I.Y.W (This Week In Yogi's World)

Hey everyone! Just wanted to fill you in on what I'm up to this week

Got a lot of unused headshots that I need to get rid of. I've been using these shots since '07 but I'm changing my hair so I won't be able to use them...I don't want to throw them away nor shred them so I'm mailing them all out over the next few weeks. Most agencies don't even open their mail but I'll rather send them out and have someone else throw them away then to throw them away myself!

I'm getting new ones probably in April, maybe sooner not sure yet.

Sunday morning I am taking an acting seminar that another actor named Christopher Stadulis is giving. He's been very successful in his acting endeavors and he has no agent nor manager so I feel this seminar should be very informative since I have neither an agent nor manager.

Then Sunday evening is my first day of my 2 Day Intensive class for legal proofreading. It last 4 hours. Then about a few days til a week later I will take the 2nd part of the class. I plan to work 3rd shift or either just the weekend shift....I have to test with multiple agencies that place proofreaders to better my chances of finding this type of job.

That's it for this week...and perhaps this month...career wise....on a personal level I'm planning for my trip to visit my niece and brother for Christmas and trying to find a decent venue to party for New Year's Eve...
