I'M IN LOVE!!!!!

With my mascara!

Just wanted to drop a quick note for all my lovelies that like to wear mascara. A good liner and mascara is sometimes all the makeup you need to get your face a little pop!

I went to my local dollar store the other day and found L'oreal's Telescopic Mascara in Carbon Black. I was interested in the mascara because of the wand. I like that you can use it from every angle. BUT lordy mercy....when I put this mascara on...my lashes were bananas!

It really does get every lash and it's really intense. I love this mascara! I don't know how much it normally retails for, I got it for $3.99...this will be a staple in my makeup collection.

Try it out! Let me know what you think!

Until next time...

Whole30 Challenge

Not happy with this Whole30 thing. I started it last week. I had minor slip ups due to lack of preparation. But I'm ALREADY losing weight. I can't lose weight so not sure how I'm going to handle this situation.

I've been slim my whole life and over the past few years I've been thickening up and carrying it very well I might add LOL but getting smaller is not my goal.

I don't eat a lot as it is so increasing my food intake won't be easy since one I already hate cooking and two I work outside my home so I'm not lugging around tons of food to the office.

I don't eat nuts right now. Although I have to admit I did break down and had a bag of cashews because I was so freaking hungry! I'm sure my face will pay for that moment of weakness later....lol

Anyhoo....in order to keep my weight up I may have to add potatoes back into my diet especially since I can't have sugar so I won't be doing the Whole30 100%....I just can't afford to weight wise.

Most of these "diets" or healthy eating habits that restrict a lot of foods are very beneficial for those with extreme health issues or that want to lose weight....thank God I don't fall into either one of those categories.

I do think I break out due to a high sugar intake. I wasn't really consuming dairy unless I was eating sweets. And I wasn't consuming grains unless I was eating white rice from takeout or restaurants which wasn't often or when I was eating corn which I love so I ate it a lot.

Processed foods was a major issue i.e. condiments I'm a ketchup girl...love the stuff and my store bought salad dressings with the soybean oil and artificial ingredients.........condiments I can work around. So I'm not really hurting by giving those up. It was just the potatoes and sweets!

My coworker looked at me today and told me I've lost weight. I don't look like I've lost weight in my face, to me....but I'm sure that I have since I haven't been eating much and I lose weight extremely easy.

So I'm revamping my whole plan with the Whole30 and putting potatoes back into my diet. Lord I beg you, please please please don't let me have an issue with potatoes!!! Geez!!!! :-D

A work in progress...........

Me & My Makeup!!

Well I should actually say me & my eyeshadow. I don't wear foundation, blush, bronzer or any of that stuff. I love me some eyeshadow though..the brighter, bolder the color the better.

So I had to invest in the 120 eyeshadow palette with all the bright and beautiful colors:

I like to match my shadow with my outfits and I love wearing bold colors. Maybe its a southern thing...I don't know...but I love me some color! I bought this palette in 2009, I think, and I've probably only used 5 or so of the colors. Some of the colors I wear often I had individual shadows already so I've been just using those.

The palette is not small so carrying it around with me to work & so forth, just in case I need to touch up my makeup, was not happening. So yesterday, I went into the dollar store and I bought 4 mini eyeshadow palettes that had a few of the colors that I like to wear on a regular basis. (Yes, I buy cheap makeup...ha!)

For the colors that I wear that are not in the mini palettes my only solution is to load up a sponge tip applicator with my color and put it in a tiny zip lock bag. This way, if needed, I will use the applicator to touch up! That's what I had to do today...I'm sporting green for Saint Patty's Day!! (It's my favorite color too)

I use concealer on my lids to make the color pop & to make the shadow last longer...but the last few days I've been creasing and I'm not sure if it's because I put moisturizer over my lids or not...but I have to pay attention to that....but anyhoo...I got this palette from ebay! It was only $20..and I thought that was a bargain because it last FOREVER!!!

:-D

All Natural Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin!!

Hi Guys!!

I just wanted to bring to your attention a good moisturizer that I've been using for over a year now. I have sensitive skin and it seems as I get older the more sensitive my skin becomes. I had a hard time finding a moisturizer that worked for my skin. I have combination skin, oily in the t-zone and dry on the cheeks and I'm prone to breakouts...not necessarily acne....but just breakouts...(I'm working on a remedy for that...fingers crossed) so I came across Melansol.

Melansol has been pretty good to me. They have an all natural, chemical free moisturizer as well as sunscreen. (I can not use sunscreen AT ALL. My face does not like it for whatever reason...I can't even use the one by Melansol...but it was the best option compared to other sunscreen I've tried)

The moisturizer is not expensive, $16.95 for a 6 oz bottle, and I'm still on the same bottle that I purchased in Jan. A little goes a long way...there's no expiration date, so you just use it til you run out. (I contacted the company to make sure it was still good to use and they said yes!) So I think its great because not only is it all natural, chemical free but its budget friendly, you only have to buy one bottle per year if you are just using it for your face!

If you are interested in purchasing then please visit http://www.puresunscreen.com/products.html and let me know how you like it!!

Brief Facts: MelanSol® 100% Natural Moisturizer: Your search for a 100% chemical free moisturizer is over. Our new moisturizer for face and body is both hydrating and protective, while using our revolutionary system of anti-aging antioxidants to control free radicals. Use it everyday to provide a powerful antioxidant foundation for makeup, at night to nourish and rejuvenate tired skin, after sun exposure to eliminate remaining free radicals, to soothe razor burned skin and more. Get more than one bottle because you'll  never want to be without it. One more thing, if you find someone with a sunburn, the natural antioxidants will help ease their misery.

Inexpensive Facial Blotters!!

Hi Everyone!

Do you have extra oily skin like I do?

Then you probably use facial oil blotters just like I do!

Well I was using the oil blotters from Mary Kay....I just put in another order because I'm down to my last few but for whatever reason the lady that sells Mary Kay has not contacted me in regards to my order...and it's been like a week or more.

So I went online to find a cheap alternative to the Mary Kay oil blotters which are $5 for 75 papers.

And I came across the idea of using end wraps instead!

Yes....Yes...end wraps that you normally use for roller sets! And lucky for me I have a whole box laying around. You can get a box with 1000 papers for $1 at your beauty supply store, maybe even your local dollar store!

Stay Tuned for other great thrifty ideas!!
